This church is actually a large addition connected to a neo-colonial, suburban house, formerly used as the church, located on a rolling, partially wooded, six-acre site. The church's main spaces-its sanctuary, fellowship hall, school, and entry-were moved from the house to the new building, which resembles an abstracted barn with clustered dormers. The sanctuary is a formal, transcendent space in contrast to the fellowship hall, which is informal, earth-bound and intimate.
